Community Engagement & Social Media Marketing

Supported College Corps' outreach and engagement efforts at Cal State LA through social media content, event promotion, and student-focused initiatives. Created short-form content, promoted workshops, drop-in hours, and campus events, helping increase awareness of opportunities and resources available to students. Collaborated with staff and student leaders to communicate program opportunities, strengthen community engagement, and connect with students through both digital and in-person outreach. Supported weekly tabling efforts, promotional campaigns, and campus-wide initiatives while assisting students with applications, resume development, and access to career, volunteer, and service opportunities.

SOCIAL MEDIA STUDENT ENGAGEMENT DIGITAL OUTREACH

Erika J. Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center

Helped grow student engagement and campus recognition for the Erika J. Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center at Cal State LA through creative digital promotion and outreach strategies. Began creating short-form videos and more engaging content after noticing traditional event posts received low student interaction and attendance. Contributed creative ideas for outreach campaigns, event promotion, and student engagement initiatives that helped increase visibility across campus and support higher attendance at major events, including Rise Without Borders, which attracted 500+ attendees. Became widely recognized on campus through creative content and continued contributing video concepts and engagement strategies that supported the DRC’s growing online presence.

Leveraged professional networking opportunities through College Corps, A.L.I.E.S Pro Services, and industry events to expand marketing knowledge and build meaningful professional relationships. Connected with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community partners while strengthening skills in branding, communication, audience engagement, and relationship marketing. Participated in professional development experiences that provided insight into business growth, personal branding, and strategic networking. These experiences strengthened my ability to build authentic connections and communicate value across diverse audiences.

Snapchat Creator Experience

Selected to participate in a Snapchat creator experience focused on the intersection of content, community, and digital engagement. Explored how creators, brands, and platforms use short-form content to capture attention, build audience relationships, and create meaningful online communities. Through discussions with industry professionals and hands-on learning experiences, gained insight into creator marketing, audience behavior, platform strategy, and the role of authentic storytelling in modern digital marketing. Strengthened skills in content strategy, brand communication, and audience engagement while learning how successful campaigns balance creativity with connection.

STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP BUILDING EXECUTIVE ENGAGEMENT THOUGHT LEADERSHIP EXPOSURE

HOPE Latina History Day VIP Salon

Selected as one of only three Cal State LA students to participate in the 35th Annual Latina History Day VIP Salon hosted by HOPE. Supported event setup and coordination efforts while helping create a welcoming and engaging experience for attendees. Participated in leadership and professional development sessions while connecting with distinguished leaders, including Dr. Berenecea Johnson Eanes, President of Cal State LA, and Luisa Acosta, Associate Vice President for University Advancement. Through this experience, I strengthened my skills in event promotion, audience engagement, professional networking, and brand representation while contributing to the success of a large-scale community event.
